There, John Bradford, planter, patriot, and delegate, played an integral part in formulating the Halifax Resolves, which brought 13 separate American colonies together in a bold move towards American Independence on April 12, 1776. This single revolutionary idea evolved into a document that bound the colonists together in grievance and ideals and set them on the path towards the War of Independence.
